Swimmers may swim three individual events at
each meet.
Coaches will put together various relay teams for each age group.

Depending on the number of swimmers, and number of
pool lanes,
the number of heats for each event will vary at each meet.
All of the events are numbered at each meet.
Parents may notice strange symbolic markings on the arms of swimmers -
these are to help the swimmers keep track of what they are swimming.

14 - 2 - 3
this is symbolic of

and for relay events it will look like this:
